After Defmation case, Nagarjuna to pursue another Rs 100 crore lawsuit against Konda Surekha

Actor Nagarjuna on Thursday took a legal action against Telangana minister Konda Surekha after she used Naga Chaitanya and Samantha's divorce to create a political controversy. The actor filed a defamation case against the female leader, following which she apologised. However, the actor did not accept her apology and filed another case on the minister pursuing Rs 100 crore as compensation.

News 18 reported that the actor revealed that a criminal defamation case has been filed and another lawsuit seeking Rs 100 crore financial compensation has also been filed. The actor explained that her outrageous comments damaged the public reputation of the Akkineni family and noting that apart from Naga Chaitanya and Samantha, the minister also spoke about other actresses, he said that it has gone beyond limit and a simple apology can not solve it. Konda Surekha's statement was condemned by almost everyone in the film industry including the star fraternities which in turn has made the Telugu film chamber also send a notice to the minister.

Nagarjuna stated that the slander made by the minister has gone beyond him and his family. For the unknown, Konda Surekha on October 2, speaking at a public press meet ridiculed politician KT Rama Rao stating that the BSR leader made a underhand deal with Nagarjuna to save his N convention centre that is reportedly built in the lake buffer area She claimed that KTR asked for sexual favours from Samantha and when she denied, there was a rift in the Akkineni family which later led to a divorce between Naga Chaitanya and Samantha.
