Vijay Yesudas is reuniting with director
Venkatesh Maha for a song in
Satyadev Kancharana’s upcoming period psychological drama, Rao Bahadur. The duo previously collaborated on the 2020 film Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya, for which Yesudas sang the track Ningi Chutte.
The singer was in Hyderabad recently to record the number, composed by Smaran with lyrics by Rahman.
Talking to Hyderabad Times, Vijay said teaming up with Venkatesh Maha again was a refreshing experience. “It’s always exciting to team up with Venkatesh for something different. This is a period film with a unique mood, and the recording was great fun,” he said. Describing the song, he added, “It’s a soothing melody with a musical twist — not just simple layering. You could call it a romantic melody that sits beautifully within the film’s emotional space.”
