After ‘Robo 2.o’, another blockbuster sequel on the cards?

Filmmaker Shankar is busy completing post-production work on his forthcoming film ‘Robo 2.o’, said to be a

sequel

to the 2010 blockbuster film ‘Robo’.

Meanwhile, it is reported that another Shakar directorial will have a sequel. ‘

Bharateeyudu

’, a massive hit that released in 1996, starring Kamal Haasan, Manisha Koirala and Urmila Matondkar in lead roles is reportedly set to get its sequel after a gap of 10 years. The patriotic film has a large number of admirers for its remarkable performances and unique filmmaking technique.

Another interesting scoop is that the music of the sequel will be scored by young sensation Anirudh Ravichander. Anirudh had composed music for several hit films such as 'Velaiyilla Pattathari', 'Kaththi', 'Kakki Sattai', 'Maari', 'Naanum Rowdydhaan', and 'Vedalam'.

The ‘Bharateeyudu’ sequel will reportedly be backed by a popular production house which is most likely to retain Kamal Haasan in the lead role.
