Ajay Devgn and Dil Raju to remake Naandhi in Hindi

Bollywood is all set to remake another Tollywood blockbuster with Allari Naresh starrer Naandhi.

Announcing the same on social media, Ajay Devgn wrote, “Time to share an important story with all! @DilRajuProdctns and @ADFFilms are all set to produce the Hindi remake of the

Telugu hit

, Naandhi! (sic)” revealing that he will be producing the film with Dil Raju. The film’s cast and crew is yet to be announced and including the remakes of Jersey and HIT, this is Dil Raju’s 3rd Hindi remake in the works.

Naandhi, which released earlier this year, is a spine-chilling courtroom drama that sees Allari Naresh in the lead role. Actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar plays a lawyer. Both the actors received accolades for their performance. The film is based on police brutality and it populatised Sec 211 of the IPC.

This film was Naresh’s comeback as a lead as he saw success after almost eight years. Actress

played a key role in the film which also saw Priyadarshi and Praveen. Movie buffs are now curious to see who will reprise these roles in the Hindi version of the film. Naandhi was idrectd by debutant Vijay Kanakamedala and it remains to be seen who will direct the Hindi version.
