Akhil Akkineni and Surender Reddy's Agent gets a new release date; makers share glimpse

The makers of Surender Reddy’s Akhil Akkineni starrer Agent have a new release date for the film.

The spy thriller’s release has been pushed multiple times but it will finally hit screens this summer on April 28. Sharing the news, Akhil shared a glimpse on his social media, writing, “Brace yourselves...The WILD ONE is coming to theatres on April 28th!” The makers hope to cash in the holiday season for the pan-India release.


The action-packed glimpse sees Akhil tied to a chair with his head covered with a mask. When he’s asked to name the agency he works for, he says, “Osama Bin Laden, Gaddafi and Hitler.” He also calls himself a ‘wild saale’ and indeed looks wild with blood all over his face. Akhil seems to be playing a character he has never played before. He even underwent a makeover for the film, bulking up and sporting longer hair.

Agent will also see Sakshi Vaidya and Mammootty in the lead roles. Rasool Ellore and Hip Hop Tamizha are the cinematographer and music composer for the film. Vakkantham Vamsi penned the story for which Naveen Nooli is the editor and Avinash Kolla as the art director. The film will release not just in Telugu but also Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.
