A few days ago, Akhil surprised movie buffs by announcing that he will be teaming up with Surender Reddy for an action thriller. While the makers are finalising the cast and crew of the film, reports emerged on social media that actress Rashmika Mandanna has been approached to play the female lead.
If rumour mills are anything to go by, the actress has been approached by the team of Akhil 5, which is currently in its pre-production stage. According to a source close to the development of the film, Rashmika is reportedly excited to be part of the film and had given her verbal consent to the part but is yet to sign on the dotted line. Rashmika’s performance in Sarileru Neekevvaru
and sources suggest that the makers are trying to convince the actress for the film. An official announcement regarding the cast and crew will be made soon.
