The entire Akkineni family, including Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya, Akhil, Amala, and others, came together at Annapurna Studios to commemorate the 100th birth anniversary of Nageswara Rao. Nagarjuna officially unveiled a panchaloha statue in his honor. The event was graced by the presence of Mahesh Babu, along with his wife Namrata Shirodkar, Ram Charan, Jayasudha, Mohan Babu, and numerous other dignitaries.

To commemorate the birth anniversary of the legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao on September 20th, Nagarjuna and his family presided over the unveiling of his panchaloha statue at Annapurna Studios. The statue inauguration ceremony was honored by the presence of Vice President Venkaiah Naidu. Numerous celebrities from the Telugu film industry also gathered to pay tribute to and remember ANR. Videos and images from the event have been widely shared and are going viral on social media.




Several photos circulating on social media capture a joyful moment shared by Ram Charan, Mahesh Babu, and Namrata at the event. Many notable figures from the Telugu film industry, including Nani, SS Rajamouli, Brahmanandam, and others, were also in attendance. Manchu Vishnu, Jagapathi Babu, Rajendra Prasad, Dil Raju, Allu Arvind, and more graced the special occasion with their presence. The director of 'RRR,' SS Rajamouli, delivered a speech in honor of ANR, celebrating his contributions to the world of cinema. The Akkineni family extended a warm and heartfelt welcome to all the distinguished guests.

Naga Chaitanya delivered a speech in remembrance of his grandfather ANR, where he emphasized the significance of ANR's filmography, his willingness to take creative risks, and his exploration of new genres. He mentioned that these aspects of his grandfather's career serve as valuable case studies for film school students, including himself, who study and learn from them.


Nageswara Rao, commonly referred to as ANR, was a highly esteemed Indian actor and producer. Over the course of his remarkable seventy-five-year career, he played pivotal roles in numerous iconic films, establishing himself as a leading figure in Telugu cinema. With a filmography that includes over 255 movies, he was particularly renowned for his romantic portrayals on screen. Additionally, he played a significant role in the transition of the Telugu film industry from Madras to Hyderabad during the 1970s.

Born into a lower-middle-class family in Andhra Pradesh on September 20, 1924, Akkineni Nageswara Rao rose to become the most prominent superstar in Telugu cinema. Unfortunately, he passed away on January 22, 2014, following a diagnosis of stomach cancer.
