Ram Charan is working on his upcoming sports action drama, 'Peddi,' where the actor will be seen playing a wrestler. For his role, the ‘RRR’ star has also spent a lot of time in the gym gaining muscle and building a rugged, earthy physique tailored to the character. Recently, celebrity trainer Rakesh Udiyar revealed the process of his transformation and close coordination with his wife, Upasana Kamineni.
Trainer Rakesh Udiyar reveals the process
While speaking with Moneycontrol, Rakesh Udiyar shared details about Ram Charan’s intense workouts, which also involve meticulous diet planning, portion control, and coordination with Upasana Kamineni and her in-house chef to make meals that balance taste with precise nutritional needs.
Careful diet planning with Upasana and chef
He said, “Charan sir was already on a diet. So, with Upasana madam, we sat and thought, "What can we give?” He also said, “She has her own chef. So, with the chef, we thought, what can we make interesting?”
He explained that even simple food needs planning. “If you make millet upma in the morning, you should also take care of how many grams it should be because it has a lot of carbs.”
Every ingredient measured to perfection for the ‘Peddi’ look
Rakesh said everything was measured carefully. “If you make lentil dosa, how many grams should it be? How many spoons of ghee should be used in it?” He also spoke about adding other foods. “If you put potatoes in it, how much will it be? If you use paneer, it will be even better.” He added, “These are all small, detailed things, which people call a diet.” These small steps helped Ram Charan get the wrestler's body.
Rakesh also spoke about teamwork. He said, “In every movie, if people appreciate the looks I have given actors, it means my work is good.” He added, “If people don't appreciate my looks, then even the hairdresser can get angry because he also does the hair.” He ended by saying, “I can't take all the credit for all this alone.”
It also features Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, and Boman Irani in key roles. The music is composed by AR Rahman.
