Allu Arjun’s highly anticipated film 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' is setting new benchmarks worldwide ever since its release on December 5. Fans in India and across the globe are celebrating the film’s massive success. A viral video from Chicago shows fans performing the traditional Indian practice of pouring milk over Allu Arjun’s poster as a mark of reverence.

The video, which included tossing confetti and chanting dialogues, created a festive atmosphere outside the theatre. In another video, fans were seen standing in a big parking lot, where they arranged a number of cars in the shape of ‘AA’ to express their love for Allu Arjun.

The film opened to a phenomenal Rs 174.9 crore on its first day and added Rs 90.10 crore on Friday, taking its total to Rs 265 crore within two days. In North America, 'Pushpa 2' recorded a staggering $4.47 million (Rs 37.85 crore) on its opening day, including premiere collections. This makes it the fourth-highest opening for an Indian film in the region, surpassing movies like 'Salaar'.

In India, 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' has broken records by becoming the highest single-day grosser in Indian cinema history with Rs 209 crore on its opening day. It is also the first film to cross the Rs 50 crore net mark in both Telugu and Hindi-speaking regions on the same day. Furthermore, it dethroned Shah Rukh Khan’s 'Jawan' as the biggest Hindi film opener with a gross of Rs 72 crore.

'Pushpa 2' surpassed 'Kalki 2898 AD' to become the highest overseas opener for an Indian film on an international level.
