‘Raaka’ first look created huge buzz

The first official look from 'Raaka' was unveiled on April 8 on the occasion of Allu Arjun’s birthday.

In the intense first-look image, the actor appeared in a completely transformed avatar. He was seen bald with kohl-lined eyes while staring directly into the camera and holding sharp animal claws.

Soon after the reveal, director Atlee shared an emotional note about the project on his X account, “Raaka isn’t just a film… it’s a part of me I’ve carried for years. For 18 years, I held on to one idea, never letting it fade.”

The filmmaker also added, “It tested me, shaped me, and stayed with me through everything. And honestly… this is just the beginning.”

The production banner backing the film also spoke about the scale and ambition of the project in an official statement.

"Raaka is a collaboration born of the highest ambitions in Indian cinema. We believe this will not only redefine the scale of what we create, but also affirm Indian cinema's rightful place in global entertainment," the statement read.
