Allu Arjun wins legal battle as Andhra Pradesh High Court quashes election violation case

Allu Arjun received a legal victory concerning a case filed against him by the Andhra Pradesh Police. The Andhra Pradesh High Court has ordered the quashing of the petition initiated by the police, which accused the actor of violating the Election Commission’s Model Code of Conduct.

The controversy began earlier this year when Allu Arjun attended a public event in Nandyal to support Silpa Ravi Chandra Kishore Reddy, a candidate from the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), during the elections. His visit attracted a large crowd of fans, leading to concerns about potential disruptions since prior permission for such a gathering had not been obtained. Following complaints to the Election Commission, the Nandyal City Police registered an FIR against both Allu Arjun and Silpa Ravi, citing violations of election regulations.

In response to the charges, Allu Arjun and Silpa Ravi approached the High Court seeking to dismiss the case. They argued that Allu's visit was personal and not politically motivated and that he should not be held accountable for the crowd that gathered outside Silpa's residence.

On October 25, 2024, the High Court temporarily halted all proceedings related to the FIR while reviewing their case. After deliberation, on November 6, 2024, the court ruled in favor of Allu Arjun and Silpa Ravi, effectively quashing the petition against them.

The case has also sparked speculation about potential rifts within Allu Arjun's family, particularly because his uncle, Pawan Kalyan, leads the Jana Sena Party and was contesting against YSRCP. Despite these tensions, Allu Arjun has maintained that he remains politically neutral and supports his friends regardless of their party affiliations.

On the work front, Allu Arjun is also focused on his upcoming film 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' is set to release on December 5, 2024.
