Amitabh Bachchan reunites with Kamal Haasan after nearly four decades on ‘Kalki 2’ sets

Bollywood’s Shenshah Amitabh Bachchan took away fans with a monumental presence playing Ashwatthama in Naga Ashwin’s ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. As the sequel is currently in works he recently talked about reuniting with Kamal Haasan after almost four decades.Amitabh Bachchan, in his blog, shared that he won’t be meet hins fans this Sunday as he is shooting in Hyderabad. He shared multiple pictures from the sets of ‘Kalki 2’ where he is seen as Ashwatthama.

He also shared some pictures of fans waiting outside his house and littte dog. To them he wrote, “told them that this Sunday I shall not be able to come , since I was shooting in Hyderabad .. but still they come .. to confirm .. even this cute little fellow .. (dog emoji) but apologies .. work first .. rest later ..”

Work with Kamal Haasan after ‘Girftar’

On the other hand, he also shared snaps with Kamal Haasan and talked about their last outing, ‘Giraftar’, which was released in 1985. wrote, “... and meeting up with the great KAMAL HAASAN ... we shall be working together after ages .. last in Giraftar.”

He officially announced that the shoot of the second part of the film has commenced and possibly meet fans next Sunday.
“..Kalki 2 begun the work .. and shall ever cherish the love and affection of anticipated presence on the Sunday .. but hopefully shall be with all this coming Sunday ..My love,” he concluded. Earlier in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, although both Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan were present in the film both actors did not share a frame. Kamal Haasan’s character was just being developed and he had a limited screentime. Now, the second part is set to feature Kamal Haasan’s character, Supreme Yaskin, in full strength. Speaking about the movie ‘Giraftar’, the movie also featured another Tamil legend, Rajinikanth. The movie tells the story of two brothers, Karan and Kishan, who are separated when Karan is framed for a murder, leading him to commit suicide.
