Anand Deverakonda reveals brother Vijay helped him in his transformation for 'Gam Gam Ganesha'

Anand Deverakonda is in the spotlight as he is busy promoting his upcoming film, 'Gam Gam Ganesha,' directed by newcomer Uday Shetty. The film, set to release on May 31st, marks Anand's venture into a new genre—crime comedy. Known for his roles in comedies and romance films, Anand is excited to explore something different this time.

In preparation for this challenging role, Anand underwent rigorous training, transforming his physique to fit the character. During an interview with Hindustan Times, he revealed that he had to bulk up and gain lean muscle, which is what he had to come out of his usual fitness routine, which primarily involved playing sports rather than hitting the gym.

"I’ve been working out consistently for two years now, eating clean and focusing on strength training, agility and mobility, focusing on my abs and muscle," shares Anand.

For this transformation, Anand turned to his brother, Vijay Deverakonda, for guidance. Vijay, the renowned Tollywood star with a well-known fitness routine, became Anand’s go to advisor. Anand frequently sought his brother’s advice on everything from diet plans to workout routines. He revealed, "I was so nervous initially but he would laugh and ask me to just do what feels right. He helped me a lot in getting buff, from the diet to the kind of workouts I should do, I took his help for everything in the last year or two".

Vijay’s experience and encouragement played a crucial role in helping Anand achieve the desired look for his character.

Meanwhile, Vijay Deverakonda has a busy schedule with three projects in the pipeline. He is currently working on 'VD12,' directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, and has two other films lined up with directors Ravi Kiran Kola and Rahul Sankrityan.
