Anisha Ambrose is five months preggers; feels lucky to be locked down with hubby

It was Tejaswi Madivada who broke the news of Anisha Ambrose’s

pregnancy

on social media, with a picture of Guna Jakka kissing wife Anisha’s bump. “We wanted to keep a low profile, but when Teju saw the picture on my private account, she got very excited, and went right ahead and shared it with the world,” says Anisha, who’s five months pregnant with their first child. “When you have friends who are celebs, there’s nothing you can do,” she adds, laughing.

Anisha tied the knot with Guna, marketing director of a Hyderabad-based property management company, in May last year and the couple are now expecting a baby in August. “August is my birthday month too,” giggles the actress, who thinks she’s “actually having a great pregnancy” in quarantine. “He used to be super busy before the lockdown. But for the past three weeks, I’ve had my husband completely to myself. It actually feels like we’re going through this pregnancy together. In fact, this lockdown period has helped us understand each other and our pregnancy better,” she says.

The decision to not go to Vizag to be with her

parents

through the pregnancy was a conscious one. “Not many couples get to go through this whole transition together. Of course, my parents are missing out on taking care of me and pampering me during this time. But my in-laws and my husband are taking very good care of me. In fact Guna makes breakfast and serves it to me in my bed. This pregnancy has been like a blessing,” she says, signing off.
