Anupama Parameswaran: Telugu cinema has been too kind to me

When Trivikram Srinivas introduced Anupama Parameswaran to Telugu film audiences in A…Aa, he prophesied, “Anupama has a long future ahead in Telugu cinema. We really need more actresses like her.” The prophecy has worked quite well so far. After A…Aa, she went on to reprise her role of a school student who was the first crush of the film’s protagonist played by Naga Chaitanya, followed by Sathamanam Bhavathi, the success of which cemented her position in the industry as a talent to watch out for.

Right now, the actress is soaring high in her career. After Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi, which made a decent collection in the box-office, the actress has been juggling between the sets of two of her upcoming films in Tollywood – one is

Krishnarjuna Yuddham

opposite Nani and the other is Hello Guru Prema Kosame opposite Ram Pothineni.

Interestingly, after she began her career in Tollywood, she has hardly signed any film in Mollywood, which gave her a break in the film industry through Alphonse Puthren’s

Premam

. Apart from

Jomonte Suvisheshangal

, she wasn’t seen in any Malayalam movie after Premam. Ask her the reason and she said that it isn’t that she doesn’t want to do a Malayalam film, but whenever she got good offers from Mollywood in the past couple of years, she was always busy with some or the other film. She also added that the Telugu film industry has been really kind to her and it’s hard to leave out such beautifully written characters that she is being offered.

She also added that she the unconditional love and support the Telugu people showered on her despite not knowing her personally or despite the fact that she belongs to the other state, overwhelms her.
