Arundhati
Regarded as the most popular film of Anushka's career, Arundhati featured Anushka in the dual role Arundhathi and Jejamma. During a visit to her native place, Arundhati realises that she looks like her great-grandmother, Jejamma. Soon, Jejamma's battles become her own as she fights a black magician who wants to kill her. A runaway hit at the box office, the movie's success helped the actress win a Filmfare and Nandi Special Jury Awards.

Vedam
Vedam is the story of five different persons Raju, Saroja, Ramulu, Vivek Chakravarthy and Raheemuddin Qureshi whose destinies get entangled with each other when they are victims of a terrorist attack that occurs in a hospital. Best remembered for its bold yet sensitive storyline, the film saw Anushka as the prostitute Saroja, and she showcased her acting prowess to the fullest and delivered a very refined performance. She has also won Filmfare Awards for Best Actress Telugu.

Mirchi
Directed by Koratala Siva, Mirchi served as definite proof of Anushka's flawless comic timing. She essayed the village belle Vennela who falls in love with her brother-in-law Jai. But Jai gets banished by his father for killing rivals while getting married to Vennela. However, Jai manages to win the hearts of his rival family with his good deeds. The actress shared a sizzling chemistry with Prabhas, elevating the film to new heights.

Baahubali
Directed by SS Rajamouli, Baahubali created buzz among movie buffs owing to its star cast and groundbreaking visual effects. Sharing screen space with Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah, Ramya Krishna, Sathyaraj and Nassar, Anushka delivered a sincere performance that added a new feather to her cap. Regarded as one of Anushka's most challenging role till date, Bhaagamathie featured the actress in the role of an IAS officer Chanchala is imprisoned in a haunted house for interrogation. However, things take an unexpected turn when she gets possessed by a spirit named Bhaagamathie. Also featuring Jayaram, Unni Mukundan, Asha Sarath and Murali Sharm, the movie was a big hit at the box office. She delivered a stunning performance, letting her eyes and expressions do the talking.
