Actress Sobhita Dhulipala is in the news recently as rumours suggest that she is expecting her first child with husband Naga Chaitanya. While the couple is yet to make any official announcement, Sobhita’s father-in-law and veteran Telugu actor Nagarjuna shared a brief reaction, which has made fans more curious.

What did Nagarjuna say?

Recently, Nagarjuna made an appearance on Suman TV. There, the ‘Coolie’ was quizzed with these ongoing rumours. He asked whether he was about to be promoted from a father to a grandfather. He paused, laughed and tried to brush the question aside. When asked again he gave a reply that neither confirms nor denies these speculations. He simply said, “I’ll let you know when the time is right.”

Similar speculations from May 2025

Earlier this year, in May, similar speculations were making the rounds on social media. During her appearance at WAVES 2025 in Mumbai. During the event, she was seen dressed in a traditional saree and opted for a loose silhouette, which led the internet users to think if that dress was meant to hide her baby bump.

However, a family insider told Etimes that the rumours were being blown out of proportion. “She wore anti-fit, not maternity. It’s amazing how a change in silhouette can birth a whole new storyline,” they said.

However, this time the couple is yet to make any official announcement.

Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala’s relationship timeline

The couple has always chosen to keep their personal life quite private. They were subtly spotted together in similar European locations. They seem to share interests like jungle safaris and wine tastings. After nearly two years of dating, the couple got engaged on August 8th, 2024, in a private ceremony in Hyderabad. Nagarjuna announced the news through his social media handle.

They got married on December 4, 2024, at Annapurna Studios, surrounded by close friends and family.
