Mahesh Babu’s recent release ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’, has become the highest first day grosser of this year at the Chennai box-office after it overtook ‘Rangasthalam’s Chennai box-office collection. The movie released on April 20.
‘Bharat Ane Nenu earned Rs 27 lakh in its first day in Chennai city. The Mahesh Babu starrer is earning accolades worldwide.
The film’s first day collections have surpassed Ram Charan’s ‘Rangasthalam’ at the Chennai box-office. While ‘Rangasthalam’ collected Rs 25 lakh on the first day, ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ collected Rs 27 lakh on the first day of its release, as per trade analyst Ramesh Bala.
The movie features Mahesh Babu as the primary lead. ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ tracks the story of a young and dynamic chief minister Bharat who takes charge as the CM after his father’s death and how his ruling in Andhra Pradesh. The film also stars Kiara Advani, Prakash Raj, R Sarath Kumar, Posani Krishna Murali, Devaraj, Devadas Kanakala and others.

The film saw massive advance booking for the weekend. ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ is Mahesh Babu’s second collaboration with director Koratala Siva. They have previously worked together in ‘Srimanthudu’.
