'Bharat Ane Nenu': Five reasons why you should watch Mahesh Babu and Kiara Advani starrer

and Mahesh Babu’s second collaboration ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ releases on April 20. Featuring music by Devi Sri Prasad and marking the debut of Kiara Advani in Telugu, the political drama is one that is much-awaited. While all the promotional material of the film has been received well, with fans looking forward to the film with bated breath, we give you five reasons why you should watch the film:

Mahesh Babu – Koratala Siva combo
After the 2015 film ‘Srimanthudu’, Mahesh Babu and Koratala Siva come together again for the second time for ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’. While in ‘Srimantudu’ Mahesh Babu played the role of Harsha, a millionaire who attempts to fill a void in his life by adopting a village and bringing a change in the people, in ‘BAN’ Mahesh will play the role of a young CM who attempts to bring a change too.

Kiara Advani’s Tollywood debut
Kiara Advani who’s famous for her role of Sakshi in ‘MS Dhoni’ is making her debut in Tollywood with ‘BAN’. The actress previously told Hyderabad Times that the makers were so impressed with her performance in her Bollywood film that they roped her in for this one. Despite having less screen time than Disha Patani, Kiara had made her presence felt in the role of Sakshi Dhoni.

Devi Sri Prasad’s rocking music
Whether it’s the broodingly haunting instrumentation of the title track, playful latino vibe of I Don’t know or the rustic dhol based beat of Vachaadayyo Saami, rock-themed orchestration of Ide Kalala Vunnadhe and last but not the least, the peppy ring of O Vasumathi, there’s plenty to dig about the jukebox of Bharat Ane Nenu. This film marks Devi Sri Prasad’s first time composing music for a political drama and he called the experience a ‘creatively satisfying’ one.

Mahesh Babu’s role as a CM
Mahesh Babu, who usually veers away from all things political, chose to play the role of a CM with this one. While initially scared to play the role, he revealed that it was Koratala Siva’s story that inspired him to take the role. For this film, Mahesh Babu didn’t just don formals and get it over with. He actually took the time to study politicians’ mannerisms and watched assembly meetings to get into the skin of the character. So it would be interesting to see in a different kind of role instead of the usual chocolate boy.

Koratala Siva’s story
As previously mentioned, Mahesh Babu was reluctant to take on the role and it is only Koratala Siva’s story that allowed him to push himself to experiment. In an interview, the director mentioned that the story of ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ will be intense and gripping. He even revealed that he narrated the story to Mahesh after ‘Janatha Garage’ despite penning it down 10 years ago. However, Koratala Siva was able to convince him to come on-board and it would be interesting to see what exactly was it that drew Mahesh Babu to essay the role.
