The maverick filmmaker SS Rajamouli is celebrating his 48th birthday on Sunday, October 10. Rajamouli marks his birthday today with wishes pouring in from all quarters. He started his career as a director for soap operas. He made his directorial debut with 'Student No 1.' Born in Kovvuru, Andhra Pradesh, Rajamouli is known for his exceptional fantasy action dramas. Most of his films have unique characters and are quite complex in nature. He has been the recipient of several prestigious awards for his directing. We all know that SS Rajamouli has chosen Jr NTR for his directorial debut 'Student No 1,' for which K Raghavendra Rao was in charge of directorial supervision. The director-actor duo did 'Student No 1,' 'Simhadri' and 'Yamadonga' together. And they are all set to make a comeback in 'RRR' (Roudram Ranam Rudhiram) set to hit theatres Sankranti next year. Rajamouli’s partnership with Jr NTR has been amazing, and it reflects in their movies.

SS Rajamouli and Ram Charan are most famous for their film Magadheera. The film released in 2009, garnered highly positive reviews and was a blockbuster. In fact, that was the film Ram Charan gained popularity for as an action hero. After thirteen years, Rajamouli is directing him again in their upcoming film RRR. The duo has raised the bar for other moviemakers and actors for sure.

Even though Rajamouli and Nithiin have collaborated in just one movie together, it’s actually Rajamouli who tapped Nithiin’s potential and gave him the first hit of his career. Of course, his debut movie, 'Jayam' and the second film 'Dil' were superhits, but not much said about his performance in the films. But Rajamouli and Nithiin came together for 'Sye,' and the movie was a blockbuster hit.

SS Rajamouli and Nani came together in the path-breaking 'Eega,' which was something that Tollywood had never seen before. In fact, Rajamouli gave Nani his career’s first blockbuster in 'Eega.' It is heard that these two share a really close and special bond. After the stupendous success of 'Magadheera,' Rajamouli has teamed up with comedian-turned-hero Sunil for 'Maryada Ramanna,' which has become a huge hit at the box office. It was Rajamouli who have Sunil his career’s blockbuster hit, 'Maryada Ramanna.' We’re sure nobody can forget Ravi Teja’s earlier days, when he did a superb movie with SS Rajamouli.
