Sampath Nandi and according to reports, the ‘Bengal Tiger’ director took inspiration from the character of Shylock in William Shakespeare's play
The Merchant of Venice
. Mohan Bharadwaj will be making his directorial debut with this project.
While the shooting of the film kicked-off from Monday in Hyderabad, Urvashi Rautela joined the sets on Tuesday. Taking to Instagram, the 26-year-old bombshell shared a picture from the airport and wrote “��Off for Black Rose �� Beyond Thrilled! Cannot wait for my bilingual (Telugu + Hindi) debut in 'Black Rose'. Our director Sampath Nandi is one of the most acclaimed filmmakers and wrote the entire script keeping me in mind. When I was offered the film I finished reading it in one go and truly loved the screenplay ����”
Speaking during the launch, the makers said “The film will be helmed as a female-orientated emotional thriller. Urvashi Rautela is very much excited to make her Telugu debut with this project. By taking the required safety measures and following all the guidelines, we’re planning to wrap up the film in a single schedule.” Mani Sharma has been roped in to compose the music.
Post her successful tenure in modelling, Urvashi Rautela made her silver screen debut at the age of 19 in Sunny Deol’s 2013 actioner ‘Singh Saab the Great’. After making her Kannada debut in 2015, the gorgeous gal acquired overnight stardom in Hindi with the back-to-back hits of Sanam Re and Great Grand Masti.
