Burrakatha movie review highlights : Horrendous dialogues galore

Diamond Ratna Babu's debut film Burrakatha starring Aadi Saikumar, Mishti Chakraborthy and Naira Shah starrer Burrakatha released today.
Abhiram (Aadi Saikumar) is a man with two brains. No, he doesn't suffer from the theoretical neuroscience concept of dual consciousness or actual split brain, but has two literal brains that somehow magically fit in his regular sized head.Abhi is the mass side of him while Ram is the classy one - with him switching between both whenever he's triggered by loud noises. And in a world filled with so much noise, despite his sound-proof home, it's bound to happen way too much.
The first half of the film also sees Abhimanyu Singh as a goonda and wannabe politician Gagan Vihari, Mishti Chakraborthy as the one-hour Mother Teresa named Happy who likes to serve people for an hour every day and Abhi's begrudging love interest and Posani Krishna Murli as her father Prabhudas, a neuro surgeon who wants nothing less than perfection for his daughter. Mahesh plays the role of the typecast comedian who has received Gagan's father's eyes and is stuck with him and Prudhvi Raj plays Bongaram Hema, Happy's uncle.
There are a motley of other characters too who utter nonsensical dialogues, just like the lead actors do. The love track between Abhi and Happy and the so-called comedy scenes are extremely problematic, sexist and misogynistic. When will TFI and its directors learn that harassing girls and stalking them does not automatically a girlfriend make? The first half of Burrakatha fails to impress. This reviewer holds no hope for the second half.
