Buzz: Kaira Advani likely to romance Varun Tej in Kiran Korrapati’s sports-drama

After bagging back-to-back successes with F2: Fun & Frustration and Gaddalakonda Ganesh, Varun Tej is gearing up for his upcoming project with debutante Kiran Korrapati. Touted to be a sports-drama, the 29-year-old actor will be essaying the role of a professional boxer and to fit the bill, he already underwent an intense training program for two months in Los Angeles and worked on his body transformation.Olympic Gold Medalist Tony Jeffries has trained Varun in the boxing part and ‘Rocky’ actor Carl Weathers acted as a consultant.
As the project is all set to go on floors, it’s widely speculated that Bollywood bombshell Kiara Advani has been approached to play the leading lady opposite the Mega hero. The 27-year-old Kabir Singh actress is yet to give her nod and if she does, this will be her third Telugu film after Bharat Ane Nenu and Vinaya Vidheya Rama. With a bunch of big-ticket films like Laxmmi Bomb, Indoo Ki Jawani, Shershaah and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Kiara is super busy in Bollywood.
Jointly bankrolled by Allu Venkatesh and Sidhu Mudda, the untitled film is expected to go on floors from December and it’s learnt that a major chunk of the budget will be dedicated to action sequences which will be supervised by Hollywood choreographers.
