Cheating case filed against Bellamkonda Suresh and son Srinivas; the duo rubbish claims

, a local court directed CCS (Central Crime Station) Police to register a case against the producer. In the complaint, Sravan alleged that Bellamkonda Suresh and his son duped him to the tune of `85 lakh. “In 2018, Bellamkonda Suresh and his son approached me and requested for a loan of `50 lakh to meet their requirements in the cinema field. Due to friendship, I supported them by providing loans to the tune of `85 lakh. However, when asked to return the amount, I was threatened,” Sravan mentioned in his compliant

According to city police, Sravan had alleged that Bellamkonda Suresh even agreed to bring him on board as a partner. Speaking to Hyderabad Times, K Srinivas Reddy, Asst Commissioner of Police, CCS, said, “Sravan had allegedly given `85 lakh to producer Bellamkonda Suresh and his son Sreenivas, following which he promised to make him an assistant producer under his banner. Sravan complained that the promise was not kept by both Suresh and Sreenivas. The promise was apparently made for a film that was going to be directed by Gopichand Malineni in 2018. A case has been filed under section 420 IPC (Cheating) and 406 IPC (Criminal breach of trust) against the father-son duo.”

“We have asked Sravan to bring all transactional documents and other written agreements to investigate this case further,” ACP Srinivas Reddy added.

Meanwhile, Bellamkonda Suresh has denied being involved with Sravan in any way and said the allegations against him are completely baseless. When Hyderabad Times reached out to him, the producer said, “The case that has been filed on me and my son is entirely baseless and false. I have not taken a single penny from anyone for producing films, and will never make false promises. I normally do not react to such false allegations, but this time, I have decided to take action since my son too has been dragged into this. I will file a defamation case against the petitioners on Monday.”

“I am not going to spare the people behind this malicious conspiracy against us. I warn these people not to needlessly drag my son into these controversies. He has just entered Bollywood and certain vested interests are trying to defame him with these cheap stunts,” he added.
