Ever since the first look of Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s much-awaited film ‘

’ came out earlier today (21st Feb 2021), there have been lots of reactions on social media from Samantha’s friends, fans, followers & filmmakers alike.

The film is written and directed by Gunasekhar and produced by his wife Neelima Guna under their banner ‘Gunaa Teamworks’. The film is inspired by a popular Sanskrit play ‘

Shakuntalam

’ written by Kalidasa. The film’s entire cast costumes were designed by National award-winning costume designer Neeta Lulla in a simple yet ethereal and demure way, thus making them perfect for the role of ‘Shakuntalam’.

In the poster, the actress looks dreamy and romantic dressed in a plain white saree with flowers entangled all over her hair and body. She is seen sitting on a rock in a forest with the animals surrounding her.

The designer has also reportedly complimented the actress and her performance in the film saying that Samantha has a certain sense of softness which has come out beautifully well in the film and she was apt for the role.
