‘Cheekatilo’: Anurag Kashyap wishes ‘congratulations’ to Sobhita Dhulipala starrer action thriller ahead of its OTT release

Actors Sobhita Dhulipala and Viswadev Rachakonda will be seen together in the upcoming Telugu original film ‘Cheekatilo’. The makers of the film took to their social media handle to share the first look poster and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap shared his wishes for the film.

The ‘Dacoit’ actor wrote in the comment section of the poster, as he wrote, “Congratulations”, with a heart emoji.

Fans in the comment section shared their reaction to the poster. A fan wrote, “Finally! She is back. Can't wait”, another said, “superrrrrrr maa Akkineni kodalu”. Multiple internet users shared their congratulations and anticipation for the movie.

In the poster of the film, Sobhita Dhulipala can be seen looking at the camera, keeping an intense yet simple look. She is seen wearing headphones with a microphone mounted right next to her as she plays the character of a crime podcaster named Sandhya. In the background, there’s a crime board that has multiple pictures pinned on. Interestingly, the red-colored threads used in the board can be seen making a picture of a mask.

Sobhita Dhulipala’s character is curious, brave and focused on finding the truth. Her search slowly pulls her into a dangerous world where nothing is simple and every truth comes with a cost.

The film is named ‘Cheekatilo’, which in English means “in the darkness". Sharing the poster, the makers wrote, “before the night creeps in, Sandhya arrives, brace for an impact."

Directed by Sharan Kopishetty, the movie also stars Chaitanya Visalakshmi, Esha Chawla, Jhansi, Aamani and Vadlamani Srinivas in important roles. The crime suspense drama is all set to premiere on Prime Video from January 23. The film will be available in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi.
