Chiranjeevi feels proud of Teja Sajja's success in 'Hanu-Man': 'I wish I could do that movie'

Chiranjeevi showered praise on 'Hanu-Man' actor Teja Sajja while sharing the stage with the young talent at a recent South Indian cinema award function in Hyderabad.

While answering some questions from the show's host Rajeev Masand, The Megastar mentioned that 'Hanu-Man' would be a movie that he dreams of doing in his life. The actor soon pointed towards Teja Sajja and said, 'The guy who wore the jacket… He started his career as a child artist with me.' Chiranjeevi recalled a past relationship between them as Teja debuted as a child artist in Megastar’s 1998 film 'Choodalani Vundhi'. He did more films with the great actor like 'Indra' (in 2002) and 'Tagore'.

Chiranjeevi further added that Teja is someone who grew up on film sets. He drew inspiration from Chiranjeevi and eventually made his dream come true. The Megastar stated that he doesn’t belong to any film family, “He started liking me, drawing inspiration from my films. Now he did a film on Hanuman (HanuMan), I wanted to do that long ago.” Chiranjeevi was satisfied when Teja did 'Hanu-Man' because he is a part of his journey; the Megastar doesn't see him as separate.


Soon Teja Sajja stood up from the audience with folded hands, showing respect and gratitude. Directed by Prasanth Varma, 'Hanu-Man' is an original Telugu superhero movie that crossed more than Rs 300 crore in the box office this year.

On the other hand, Chiranjeevi is gearing up for the release of 'Vishwambhara'. Directed by Mallidi Vassishta, it also features Trisha Krishnan in the main role.
