It’s official!
Pooja Hegde has been confirmed as the lead opposite Akhil Akkineni in his next movie, his 4th one, tentatively titled
Akhil 4
. The news was confirmed by

The makers took to Twitter to make the announcement, writing how they are pleased to welcome the actress on board the movie. The tweet reads: “Happy to announce that most beautiful & energetic actress @hegdepooja is going to be a part of #Akhil4. Welcome aboard @hegdepooja’’.
Directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar, the untitled film will mark his comeback almost after seven years. Initially, speculations were rife that Sai Pallavi was nearly confirmed as the leading lady, but surprisingly, she backed off at the last minute. After several names like Anupama Parameshwaran and Rashmika Mandanna went around,
Bommarillu Bhaskar has finally zeroed in on the Maharshi actress.
According to the sources, it will be a performance-oriented role for Pooja, who is currently prepping up for the film. A couple of schedules have already been wrapped up, and the gorgeous bombshell will soon start shooting for the film.
Gopi Sunder has been roped in for composing music for this flick. Pradeesh Varma, who earlier handled the cinematography for 100 Days of Love, Kohinoor, Manglish, 1983, will crank the camera for the film. Allu Aravind will produce the movie under GA2 Pictures banner.
