that happened in Hyderabad yesterday, lead actor Rajinikanth made some interesting comments for the Telugu audience.

"I am around 70-years-old now but you guys give me the energy to work even today. I am blessed to have such an audience here. You have loved me as much as the Tamil audience do. I can never compensate your love with anything," he said, adding, "My first film in Telugu, Anthu Leni Katha, released in 1976. Most of you present here weren't even born then. Since then the Telugu audience have been making my films a hit."

Talking about his role in Darbar, he said, "I play a super-cop whose name is Aditya

. I am sure the film will repeat the magic of

Narasimha

Chandramukhi

and Robo." Tollywood directors Harish Shankar, Vamshi Paidipally and Maruthi also attended the event. Darbar, which also stars Nayanthara, Nivetha Thomas and Sunil Shetty will hit screens on January 9.
