Rajini's 167th film

in his 40-year long and fruitful career. The film features Nayanthara as the female lead opposite Rajini. Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty has been roped in to play the baddie in this flick. Nivetha Thomas, Thambi Ramaiya, Sriman, Prateik Babbar, Jatin Sarna, Nawab Shah, Yogi Babu and Dalip Tahil are playing pivotal roles as well. The technical crew of this film includes Anirudh Ravichander for music and Santosh Sivan for cinematography. Darbar is bankrolled by Allirajah Subaskaran under the banner Lyca Productions. It is scheduled to hit the theatres on January 10, 2020.
