Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna's bond has been a topic of speculation ever since they shared the screen in the successful films 'Geetha Govindam' (2018) and 'Dear Comrade' (2019). Over time, rumours have only intensified, fuelled by Rashmika's frequent posts from Vijay's home and the duo being spotted together with his family. Glimpses from their holiday have also sparked the rumours further over the years.
In a recent conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Rashmika seemed to address her relationship status while discussing what constitutes a "happy place" for her. She shared, "Home is my happy place. It makes me feel anchored. It makes me feel rooted. It makes me feel like success can come and go, but it’s not forever. But home is forever. So I work from that space. As much as the love and this fame and the visibility that I get, I still am just a daughter, just a sister, just a partner. I really respect that life, that personal life that I have."
Her reference to being "a partner" has sparked further speculation about her relationship with Vijay. Moreover, Rashmika elaborated on the qualities she values in a man, sharing, "They say eyes are the window to one’s soul, I think I believe in that, and I keep smiling so I am drawn to people who have a smiley face and, of course, someone who respects people around them no matter who they are."
Vijay recently opened up about his views on love and relationships during an interview with Curly Tales while promoting his music video Sahiba. He was asked about the existence of unconditional love, to which he responded, “I know what it is to be loved, and I know what it is to love. I don’t know if it’s unconditional because my love comes with expectations."
Vijay further stoked the flames of speculation with a humorous remark, “I’m 35, do you think I would be single?"
