Director Anil Ravipudi reflects on the seventh anniversary of his blockbuster 'F2: Fun and Frustration,' crediting it with shaping his filmmaking career. He celebrated the milestone on the same day his latest film, 'Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu,' hit theaters. Ravipudi expressed deep gratitude to the 'F2' cast, especially Venkatesh and Varun Tej, and the audience for their unwavering support.
Director Anil Ravipudi is currently enjoying the success of his recent release, ‘Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu’ starring Megastar Chiranjeevi. Amidst it, his superhit movie ‘F2: Fun and Frustration’ was released seven years ago and the director took a moment to express that the movie shaped his journey as a filmmaker.

Sharing a poster of the film, on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, he wrote, “12th January 2019. Looking back, this is where my journey truly took shape. 7 years ago, #F2 released and changed everything. And today, on the very same day, I celebrate #ManaShankaraVaraPrasadGaru in theatres. Truly, God has His own beautiful plans.”

Gratitude to Venkatesh and Varun Tej

Anil Ravipudi also shared a word of appreciation for the cast of his film and especially mentioned the leading pair, veteran Telugu star Daggubati Venkatesh and actor Varun Tej. He wrote, “I will always treasure the trust, warmth, and encouragement you gave me, dear Victory @VenkyMama sir. Love you always Thank you, @IAmVarunTej bro, for your sincerity, dedication, and constant support throughout the film.”
He added, “Grateful to every cast and crew member who walked this journey with me. And to the audience your love made everything worthwhile then, now, and always.”

About ‘F2: Fun and Frustration’

Speaking about the film, it is a sequel to the 2016 hit ‘F1’, and became one of the highest-grossing Telugu films of the year. According to trade analyst Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 137.6 crore worldwide. The film follows two men grappling with marital frustrations from their dominating wives and families. It also features Tamannaah Bhatia as Harika and Mehreen Pirzada as Honey, with supporting roles by Ramya Krishna, Prakash Raj, and Rajendra Prasad.Anil Ravipudi later went on to collaborate in the 2022 film, ‘F3: Fun and Frustration’ and ‘Sankranthiki Vasthunam’. His latest release, ‘Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu’ also featured a special appearance by the Telugu legend.
