Telugu filmmaker Deepak Reddy may have made the nation proud with over 500 awards at several international festivals and a record in the Guinness Book of World Records for the highest number of records ever won by a film - 'Manasanamaha', but it looks like that isn't helping in attaining a visa to go and receive some of the awards himself.

Most of the events took place during the pandemic and as a result, he wasn't able to attend any of the 200+ film festivals including the Oscar-qualifying screening in the US. But it looks like, despite things easing out now, Deepak is still not going to make it to the last few festivals where 'Manasanamaha' is screening, owing to the ongoing visa restrictions. The filmmaker has been trying to attain permission for the same for the last 6 months, and all his pleasure has gone on deaf ears.

Sharing the news on his Twitter handle, he wrote, ''Sir, Due to visa restrictions from last year, I couldn’t attend a single film festival in 200+ fests including Oscar qualifying screening in the US. Please help me get a US visa slot to attend my last set of film festivals to represent our country @MEAIndia @TelanganaCMO.''

It has been two years since the release of the short film 'Manasanamaha' directed by Deepak Reddy. It was screened at many international film festivals and won around 513 prestigious awards. Now, Deepak is planning to make a feature film with the same story. The film stars Viraj Ashwin, Drishika Chander, Srivalli Raghavendra and Prudhvi Sharma in prominent roles.
