Ram Pothineni's 'Double iSmart' promises double the entertainment!

Directed by Puri Jagannadh, 'Double iSmart' is a science fiction action thriller starring Ram Pothineni, Sanjay Dutt, Kavya Thapar, Bani J, Getup Srinu, and Sayaji Shinde, among others. Set to release this Independence Day, the film is the sequel to the 2019 film 'iSmart Shankar'.

The second part of the film focuses on an assassin who tries to achieve immortality and transfers his memories into another person, and how his thoughts, in combination with multiple memories, come together to make him stand against the antagonist Big Bull, played by Sanjay Dutt.

Announced in May 2023, the film's shooting happened over a period of 10 months, and it is all set for its release now. The sequel film is said to have double the action, mass, and entertainment of its prequel. The film is said to have been made on a high budget, and it will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.

The film has huge anticipation, and it is expected that it will gross well at the box office following the response the film's prequel got. The movie's digital rights have already been sold to the national OTT Prime Videos for Rs 33 crore.
