Director Panna Royal is chuffed with the reception his latest film, Inti No 13, is getting from the audience. Royal, known for his horror films like Calling Bell and Rakshasi, initially conceived the story as a two-part saga. “I envisioned making Inti No 13 in two chapters. However, I’ve ensured the film delivers a complete and satisfying experience while still leaving room for a potential sequel that willsurprise viewers in unexpected ways,” adding explaining, “Manikranan, the film’s Director of Photography (DOP), emphasises the paramount importance of visuals and sounds in enhancing the film’s impact. “We’ve meticulously crafted the visuals and sounds, recognising their power in horror films. To make certain scenes stand out, we used advanced techniques like motion control cameras, along with a team of skilled technicians and top-notch lighting. One particularly challenging scene involved a girl’s chilling encounter in the garden. Achieving a seamless transition from indoors to outdoors with the desired effect demanded meticulous camera work throughout,” he says.
Manikranan expresses his gratitude for Royal’sunwavering dedication to the project. “We share a common vision for horror films, which makes it incredibly smooth to work with Panna Royal,’ he says, adding, “His dedication is truly inspiring, and I’m honoured to be a part of his creative process once again. We previously collaborated on the horror film Rakshasi and I’m pleased that our partnership has yielded success for the second time.”
