who scored a super hit with his debut directional film ‘Needi Naadi Oke Katha’ is now coming up with his next with
Rana Daggubati and
Sai Pallavi titled ‘Virata Parvam’ (book of Virata). Though the film is nearing it's release, the makers haven’t seriously started its promotions yet.
However, Etimes received a couple of exclusive pictures from the makers wherein Rana is seen sitting in the forest in his Naxalite get-up and is busy reading the script. On the other hand, the director Venu Udugula is discussing something with the actor while the rest of the unit is busy setting up the location for the shot.

Venu Udugula's directorial has several known actors from across multiple film industries such as Nandita Das,
Zarina Wahab, Easwari Rao, Sai Chand, Nivetha Pethuraj and others playing other important roles in the film. The film is also said to have a huge action sequence (Naxalite encounter) which is never before been seen in Indian cinema that has been choreographed by Germany based action choreographer.
Rana Daggubati is said to be playing the role of Dr Ravi Shankar alias Comrade Ravanna while Sai Pallavi plays his love interest Vennela. The film is touted to be a period drama set in the 90s that will revolve around the Naxalite movement that took place in the Telangana region.
‘Mahanati’ famed Dani Sanchez-Lopez and Divakar Mani are cinematographers for this film, while
Suresh Bobbili
composed the soundtrack and background score and it's been edited by Multiple awards winning editor A. Sreekar Prasad that is gearing up to release in June 1.
