Noted screenwriter KV Vijayendra Prasad

has tested positive for the novel coronavirus and is currently under

home quarantine

A source in the know informs that the writer, who has provided the story for the upcoming magnum opus

, was diagnosed with

COVID-19

after he got infected with it. He is reportedly on medication and recovering well. He is in self-quarantine at home and following all precautions advised by the doctors. This is the latest coronavirus case in Tollywood after Ram Charan, Varun Tej, Tamannaah Bhatia, Dr Rajasekhar, producer DVV Danayya, K Nagendra Babu, Bandla Ganesh, Singer Smita, tested positive for COVID-19. It was reported that Vijayendra Prasad’s son SS Rajamouli was also tested positive for COVID-19 in August 2020.

RRR stars Jr NTR as Komaram Bheem, Ram Charan as Alluri Sitarama Raju, Alia Bhatt as Sita, Olivia Morris as Jennifer, Ajay Devgn, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson as Scott, Alison Doody as Lady Scott, Chatrapathi Sekhar, Shriya Saran and Spandan Chaturvedi. It is being directed by SS Rajamouli and produced by DVV Danayya under his home banner DVV Entertainments. Speaking of RRR glimpses, the lead actors have donned never-seen-before avatars as Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju, and it also gave a glimpse of their powerful roles in the film.

According to the health ministry, as of Wednesday morning, the death toll due to COVID-19 has risen to 166,208 with 12,801,785 cases in the country.
