When E Times caught up with the talented actress on the occasion of
Father’s Day
, she revealed some interesting details regarding her dad and how he transformed from being a strict parent to her best friend. “The principles that my father taught me over the years turned me into a person who I am now. He is a man of generosity, humbleness and sometimes, can also get humourous and sarcastic. During my growing years, he was a strict dad but now, he ended up as my best friend who I frequently have fun conservations with. Irrespective of their status, he taught me to respect people equally and be extra kind to the needy,” she said.
Talking about her father’s reaction when she decided to go for acting, Mirnalini said “Like everyone else, he was initially scared about sending me into the film industry but later, he became my strongest support and believed in me and my choices more than anyone. I’ve learnt many things from my dad and it’s hard to recollect all of them. I love this man more than anything and my dream is to make him proud and see him smile.”

Vikram in Ajay Gnanamuthu’s
Cobra and romancing M Sasikumar in the upcoming film MGR Magan. Besides hands-full in Kollywood, she has been receiving several offers from Telugu filmmakers and once the prevailing lockdown gets lifted, she is expected to make a formal announcement.
