'Fidaa' joins $2 million club

The makers of ‘Fidaa’ are on cloud 9 as the movie had pulled off a memorable feat in the US box office. The movie starring Varun Tej and Sai Pallavi has joined the prestigious $2 million club on 23rd day of its release.
Announcing the feat, the makers of the movie tweeted, “Team #Fidaa is overjoyed to be in the prestigious 2 Million Dollars Club in the USA. A Love Hate Love Story loved by one and all.(sic)”
Varun Tej and Sai Pallavi are the newest members of the club that includes superstars like Prabhas, Mahesh Babu, Nithin, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Chiranjeevi, Jr NTR and Rakul Preet Singh. The Sekhar Kammula directorial ‘Fidaa’ stands seventh in Tollywood’s all-time highest grossing movies overseas after 'Baahubali' series, 'Srimanthudu', 'A..Aa', 'Khaidi No.150' and 'Nannaku Prematho'.
‘Fidaa’, a love story of a US based guy and a village belle set against the backdrop of Telangana, is possibly the biggest grosser in filmmaker Sekhar Kammula's career. The film marks the Telugu debut of Sai Pallavi who won over audiences with her brilliant performance. Produced by Dil Raju, the film's music has been scored by Shakthikanth Karthick.
