‘Goodachari’ charts the journey of a spy called Arjun, who’s the son of a martyred RAW agent. Brought up by his father’s friend, played by Prakash Raj, the agent either goes against the very system he joins or is framed for a crime he didn’t commit, judging by the trailer. Supriya Yarlagadda who has come back to the industry after 22 years plays the director of the RAW subset Trinetra, which doesn’t come under the Indian constitution.
Talking to Hyderabad Times, Adivi Sesh had revealed that the film was shot across a span of 116 days, 3 countries and 168 locations. “We shot in minus 20 degree weather in the middle of a snowstorm in the US, an action episode in the Himalayas, 20 Kms into the ocean and an exciting episode on Bangladesh too. Goodachari is an origin story and a whole new universe built to attract the Telugu audience in an authentic way,” he said.
He also revealed that the film would be turned into a franchise if the audience come to accept the film. “The film was definitely not written as a one off. It has the potential to be turned into a franchise,” he revealed. Director Sashi Kiran too had revealed that no one had really understood the scope or gravity of the film till the trailer released. He revealed, “When we shot in Rajahmundry I had stayed at my home. But my family didn’t really know the scale of what we were doing till they watched the teaser and trailer.”
