During the promotions of her 2019 Telugu film ‘Where is the Venkatalakshmi’, Raai Laxmi slipped into a pink ruffle saree and attracted the shutterbugs big-time. Recently, the Julie 2 actress admitted that she got bored with playing the same glamourous roles. She said “I think people have seen enough of skin show. The kind of roles where I’m there for a few scenes and songs... I think I have done that enough. I’m not keen on doing it anymore. Quite frankly, I’m bored of doing it.”

For her maiden Bollywood film Julie 2, Raai Laxmi underwent a major body transformation by shedding out nearly 15 kilos in two months. Though the process was physically and emotionally taxing, she followed a strict diet and worked out for a toned body which she finally achieved. Commenting on her hardwork for a slim appearance, Laxmi said that she toiled a lot to get that bikini body and that she has no memory of her old self now. But, unfortunately, Julie 2 ended up as a huge disappointment at the box-office.

The comedy entertainer will be helmed by actor-turned-director Deepak Tijori. In the upcoming Telugu film Ananda Bhairavi, she is playing the role of a cop and according to her “It is an unconventional role, not the regular cop who wears khaki and kicks villains.”
