After he scored a magnificent hit with the Anushka Shetty-starrer ‘Rudhramadevi’ in 2015, director Gunasekhar took two years to prepare a script with a mythological plot. According to the latest reports, this film has been titled ‘

Hiranya

’ and it will be multilingual set to release in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi.

will be bankrolling the project. The filmmaker, who is known for making mythological and epic historical films such as ‘Ramayanam’ (1996), and ‘Rudhramadevi’ (2015), is said to be penning his next based on the oppressive demon

Hiranyakashipu

as per the Hindu mythology. Rana Daggubati has been roped in to play the lead role and the makers will reveal the rest of the cast and crew soon.

According to the sources, the film will go on floors early next year. The makers will audition various actresses from aforementioned languages to feature in the star cast. Besides ‘Hiranya’, Rana Daggubati is teaming up with Sathyasiva for a bilingual film ‘1945’.
