Mahesh Babu and Sreeleela starrer 'Guntur Kaaram' continues to grapple with a challenging run at the box office, having amassed approximately Rs 106.40 crore in total across India by its seventh day in theaters.
According to sacnilk, on January 19, 2024, the eighth day since its launch, 'Guntur Kaaram' secured an additional Rs 3 crore, contributing to the overall collection figure Rs 110.90 crore. The film, released on January 12, 2024, is an action thriller featuring an ensemble cast, including Mahesh Babu, Sreeleela, Meenakshii Chaudhary, Jagapathi Babu, Ramya Krishnan, and Jayaram in pivotal roles.
On its eighth day, 'Guntur Kaaram' managed an overall 24.40% Telugu occupancy, reflecting a decline from its earlier box office performance. The breakdown of occupancy rates for Thursday, January 18, 2024, stood at 18.70% for morning shows, 23.95% for afternoon shows, 27.89% for evening shows, and 27.04% for night shows.
Despite facing challenges at the box office, 'Guntur Kaaram' had generated considerable excitement among fans as it marked Mahesh Babu's return to the silver screen after a year-long break. The superstar's previous theatrical release was in 2022, and the action thriller was anticipated to be a highlight for the actor in 2024.
Looking ahead, Mahesh Babu is already gearing up for his next project, a movie with renowned director SS Rajamouli, tentatively titled ‘SSMB29’.
