Best works of Gopichand Malineni

Tollywood film director Gopichand Malineni was born and brought up in Boddulurivari Palem in Prakasam district Andhra Pradesh. He has turned 40 on March 13. In the career span of more than a decade, the talented filmmaker has given a precious contribution to the Telugu film industry. Gopichand started his work in the industry as a camera assistant for the movie Hello I Love You directed by Veera Shankar. He then turned as an assistant director for the film Police starring Srihari in the lead role.


Eventually, he joined EVV Satyanarayana, Srinu Vytla and Meher Ramesh, AR Murugadoss. He assisted them in the making of Andarivaadu, Venky, Dhee, Stalin, Kantri and Billa, most of which became super hits. Don Seenu

Gopichand Malineni came into the spotlight with his debut directorial venture Don Seenu, which had Ravi Teja, Shriya Saran and Anjana Sukhani in the lead roles. The film went on to become a super hit at the box office and earned Gopichand the attention of the entire industry. Don Seenu is the story of a youngster Seenu whose ambition is to become a don joins hands with one of the city’s mafia kingpins and gains his trust. Also starring Srihari, Sayaji Shinde, Kasthuri and Mahesh Manjrekar in pivotal roles, the film was bankrolled by RR Venkat under the banner of RR Movie Makers.

Bodyguard

Gopichand Malineni was chosen to helm the Telugu remake of Malayalam hit film Bodyguard directed by Siddique where Dileep, Nayantara played the lead role. With a powerful star cast including Daggubati Venkatesh, Trisha Krishnan, Saloni Aswani, Prakash Raj, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Jaya Prakash Reddy, Tanikella Bharani, Ali and Pragathi, the movie is just the right mix of romance, action and comedy. Bankrolled by Bellamkonda Suresh under his banner Sri Sai Ganesh Productions, this film revolves around a tough bodyguard, who is assigned to protect the family of a business tycoon.

Balupu

Seriously, who hasn’t watched Balupu? Starring Ravi Teja, Shruti Haasan, Anjali, Prakash Raj, Adivi Sesh and Ashutosh Rana in pivotal roles, the movie will make you laugh your gut out. Balupu is the story of a dreaded gangster who lives a peaceful as a collection agent for a bank by hiding his identity after goons have brutally murdered his dear ones. Bankrolled by Prasad Vara Potluri of PVP cinema, the film was second-time collaboration between Ravi Teja and Gopichand Malineni. Lakshmi Rai was completely mesmerising us with her beauty and grace as she joyfully danced to the track, Lucky Rai in the film.

Pandaga Chesko

Pandaga Chesko was written by Veligonda Srinivas and directed by Gopichand Malineni. The movie starred Ram Pothineni, Rakul Preet Singh, Sonal Chauhan and Brahmanandam in lead roles. Pandaga Chesko is all about a business tycoon Karthik, who heads to India to make Divya fall in love with him and reunites his family. Ravi Kireeti had produced the film under United Movies banner.


Gopichand Malineni has teamed up with Ravi Teja again for Krack, which is progressing at a brisk pace. Shruti Haasan, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Samuthirakani and Ali are also part of the project. Bankrolled by Saraswathi Films Division, the film is likely to hit the screens on May 8, 2020.
