His journey into the films began with ‘Jayam’ (2002) in which he played a middle-class village guy, Venkat. He went on to deliver some of his best performances in films like 'Dil', 'Sri Anjaneyam', 'Sye', 'Ishq', 'Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde', and 'A Aa'. He was last seen in the Satish Vegesna directorial ‘Srinivasa Kalyanam’ and after a much-needed break, the star is back on a film signing spree.
He recently took to social media to reveal the details about his upcoming films while crushing other false rumours.
"Any official news and updates about me n my movies will be announced on my official SM platforms. DO NOT believe in fake news..thank you," the actor wrote.
Talking about his upcoming projects, the star announced that three projects are in their scripting stage of which two will release at the end of the year with one releasing next summer.
On the occasion of Holi, the actor announced, "As I promised Announcement 1: Doing a film with the supremely talented
Chandra Sekhar Yeleti garu produced by Anand Prasad garu under Bhavya creations and music by M.M Keeravani garu..super excited about this one Shoot starts from mid-April.. Other details soon Happy Holi."
This project will be directed by National Award winning-director Chandra Sekhar Yeleti and produced by Anand Prasad under Bhavya Creations Banner. MM Keeravani has been roped in to compose music for this yet-untitled flick. The film will go on floors mid-April.
On Friday, the actor made an announcement regarding his second project and also released the title poster with a note that read, "After some GAP commercial is BACK #BHEESHMA PAKKA HILARIOUS COMMERCIAL BOMMA Thanku Rashmika ‘sir’ for announcing our film!! My mom wants to kill u all for putting ‘single forever’ as the tagline @VenkyKudumula @iamRashmika LETS KILL IT."
He will be teaming up with director Venky Kudumula of ‘Chalo’ fame for a commercial entertainer, ‘
Bheeshma
’ in which he will be seen playing the role of a bachelor in this romantic comedy, co-starring
Rashmika Mandanna. The film will be bankrolled by Surya Devara Naga Vamsi and PDV Prasad under Sithara Entertainments banner.
On the eve the actor’s birthday, he made an announcement about his third project that he signed this year, saying, "My most ambitious and challenging film of my career!! Super duper kicked about it... Dir Krishna Chaitanya Prod Sreshth movies Shoot starts from year-end and summer 2020 release!’’
The star is all set to join hands with director Krishna Chaitanya, who previously made the critically acclaimed films ‘Chal Mohan Ranga’ and ‘Rowdy Fellow’. The project funded by Sreshth Movies banner will begin its shoot at the end of the year. The yet-untitled film is scheduled to hit screens in the summer of 2020.
