On the occasion of Valentine’s Day in February, popular heroine Sayyeshaa and Kollywood actor Arya took to social media and revealed that they will be tying the knot soon. As announced, the celebrity pair got hitched at the Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad amid close friends and family members. After sharing the screen for the first time in 2018 rom-com ‘Ghajinikanth’, it didn’t make much time for the duo to develop a lasting bond and fall head over heels in love with each other.

While Arya is a software professional-turned-actor who kicked-off his celluloid journey in 2005 by playing a supporting role in ‘Arinthum Ariyamalum’, Sayyeshaa made her film debut exactly a decade later with ‘Akhil’. Despite creating a striking impression in her maiden Bollywood outing ‘Shivaay’, the talented starlet majorly focussed on Kollywood with back-to-back hits in her kitty. Sayyeshaa was born to veteran Bollywood actors Sumeet Saigal and Shaheen Banu in Mumbai. She is also the grandniece of legendary film couple, Saira Banu and Dilip Kumar. Right from her childhood, the young actress has been well-trained in a variety of dance forms like Latin, Kathak, Bharatnatyam, Hip-Hop and more. In high school itself, she was roped in by Ajay Devgn to play the role of a budding IAS officer in ‘Shivaay’. However, as the film got delayed, Ajay let the diva go and explore other offers in the meantime.

As her Hindi project got delayed, the leggy lass made her leading lady debut with the Telugu film ‘Akhil’. Considered as the mega launch of both Akhil and Sayyeshaa, the action-thriller directed by VV Vinayak fell flat at the ticket counters. However, the gorgeous beauty managed to create an impact with her convincing acting chops and appealing screen-presence. She looked mesmerising in the film and danced to the fast-beat tunes with ease. Straight after ‘Akhil’, she joined Ajay Devgn on the sets of ‘Shivaay’.

After her first two films failed to perform at the ticket counters, Sayyeshaa eventually found some luck in Tamil cinema with ‘Vanamagan’ in 2017. Starring opposite Jayam Ravi as the female lead, Sayyeshaa effortlessly portrayed the complex role of Kavya with comfort and received accolades from both critics & viewers. She followed it up perfectly with a village belle’s role in Karthi’s super hit family-drama ‘Chinna Babu’. In the same year itself, she starred in two successful films like ‘Junga’ and ‘Ghajinikanth’. After acquiring good craze in Kollywood, the leggy lass bagged the big opportunity to play the female lead in KV Anand’s action-thriller Kaappaan starring Suriya and Mohanlal.

Though the dedicated actress mostly featured in action, adventure and comedy films, she is a brilliant dancer in real life with professional training in a host of classical and non-classical dance forms like Rhumba, Samba, Jazz, Funk, Belly Dancing, Hip-Hop, Kathak, and Odissi.
