Popular Indian actor Rana Daggubati and his ladylove Miheeka are now husband and wife. In an intimate ceremony on Saturday night at the Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad, the celebrity couple took their wedding vows in Telugu and Marwari traditions amid the presence of family members and close friends. Besides family-related stars Venkatesh, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Akkineni, the celebration witnessed the presence of popular personalities like Allu Arjun, Ram Charan and Upasana. A few hours after the dream wedding, a series of HD pictures from the venue took the internet by storm.

For his wedding, Rana slipped into a heavy pattu kurta and dhoti with a kandva wrapped around his shoulders. Coming to the bride, Miheeka opted for a heavily embroidered lehenga with a red veil designed by Anamika Khanna. The royal attire was well complemented with antique jewellery consisting of earrings, head-piece, bangles and a statement necklace.

Friends and family members who couldn’t able to attend the wedding due to COVID-19 guidelines have watched the live streaming through Virtual Reality (VR). In fact, the live stream link was open to public for a few minutes. Celebs like Nani and Anil Ravipudi did the same and shared their pictures on social media.

Keeping with the protocols warranted by the prevailing pandemic, sanitiser stands, face masks and disinfectant tunnels were installed at the venue and social distancing norms were followed. The attendees of this celebrity wedding were less than 30 in number and each member has been tested for COVID-19 before stepping foot into the bio-bubble. The whole street leading upto the Ramanaidu Studios and the wedding venue was cordoned off by security personnel.

The bride’s mother planned a small sangeet segment as a special surprise for the couple. “I didn’t want them to miss out on anything for their wedding because of Covid-19. So we had dance performances by a few relatives as a special mini sangeet. It was a surprise for both Rana and Miheeka and they loved it,” Bunty told to Hyderabad Times.

Upasana accompanied her husband Charan in a beautiful saree.

Rana roused to global fame with his terrific performance as Bhallaladeva in the ‘Baahubali’ franchise. Besides being a pan-Indian actor with films across multiple languages, the Daggubati scion is producer, television personality, visual effects coordinator, and an entrepreneur. On the other side, Miheeka is the founder of the event management company, Dew Drop Design Studio. She is also a writer at a popular online interior and architect magazine. Her mother Bunty Bajaj is a prominent name in the jewellery business industry and her store is a favourite hotspot for jewellery connoisseurs.
