Here's how much did Mrunal Thakur charged for Adivi Sesh starrer 'Dacoit'

Actress Mrunal Thakur was officially announced to be playing the female lead in the Adivi Sesh starrer action drama film, 'Dacoit' directed by Shaneil Deo. She replaced Shruti Haasan, who exited the project due to creative differences. The actress seems to be charging big bucks for the project.

As per a report by Deccan Chronicle, Mrunal Thakur charged an impressive paycheck of Rs 2.5 crore. The first look of Mrunal in 'Dacoit' was unveiled on December 17, 2024, coinciding with Adivi Sesh's birthday. The poster revealed her character's eyes, hinting at an intense role. According to reports, her character will be driven by anger and intensity, marking her entry into the action genre.

'Dacoit' revolves around the story of an angry convict seeking revenge against his ex-girlfriend after feeling betrayed. Vedanth Prabhakar, played by Adivi Sesh, transforms into a vigilante known as Bagheera, fighting against crime and corruption. Mrunal’s character is expected to play a pivotal role in this gripping narrative.

Mrunal Thakur was last seen in the magnum opus, 'Kalki 2898 AD', making a special appearance in the film. Apart from that, she has given successful performances in films like 'Sita Ramam' and 'Hi Nanna'. Her last leading role film includes, 'Family Star' starring alongside Vijay Deverakonda, which received a lukewarm reception at the box office.

The film's production is currently underway in Hyderabad, with plans for extensive shooting in Maharashtra.
