Hindi dubbed version of Akhil Akkineni’s Mr Majnu crosses 100 million views

Akhil Akkineni and

Niddhi Agerwal starrer Mr Majnu

did not do well at the box office on its release but the Hindi dubbed version of the film uploaded on a popular video streaming website has gathered 100 million views.

The film has Akhil Akkineni playing Vicky while Nidhhi Agerwal plays Nikki. Izabelle Leite is seen as Madhavi in the film. The story revolves around Vicky and Nikki and how they fall for each other. The film is written and directed by Venky Atluri. Naga Babu, Subbaraju, Ramesh Raju, Pavitra Lokesh also played important roles in the film. Mr Majnu was produced by BVSN Prasad. The film features music by S Thaman while the lyrics were penned by Sri Mani. Cinematography for the film has been done by George C Williams.


The film failed to impress the Telugu audiences but it seems to have struck a chord with fans in

the North of India

as the film has managed to gather 100 million views since it premiered on a popular video streaming website on July 4. The film was rated at 3 out of 5 by our reviewer who wrote, “It's Akhil who steadies this rocky ship, while composer Thaman remains the unsung hero of the film for its terrific music score. Be it energy, melody or a sense of calm, Thaman's music is a perfect anchor to the film's story. Mr Majnu may not be as heartwarming as Tholi Prema, but has every element in it to make for an engaging watch at the cinemas” (sic)
