Naga Shaurya is an excited and relieved man ahead of the release of his film,
Lakshya. “I’m happy that the industry is slowly inching back towards normalcy and people are heading back to cinema halls. It feels great that the audience will finally see the result of two years of my hard work on the big screen,” the actor says, excitedly.
Directed by Santossh Jagarlapudi , Lakshya features Naga Shaurya in the role of an archer called Pardhu who aims to represent India on a global scale.
“We all have an aim to show the world what we’re capable of. At the heart of the film lies this thought. The film also teaches one that nothing is permanent in life. Because, despite going down a wrong path, Pardhu gets a chance at redemption,” says Shaurya.
Naga Shaurya also has a ‘lakshya’ right now — to score a blockbuster with this film. “I have physically transformed myself for the role; I will be seen in four different looks at four different stages of Pardhu’s life and that was not an easy thing to pull off. I pushed myself to the fullest and gave it my all. The film is the perfect mix of love, emotions, sports and action. I hope it excites the audience as much as it excited me to shoot for it,” he says.
Lakshya is produced by Narayan Das Narang, Sunil Narang, Puskur Ram Mohan Rao and Sharrath Marar under Sree Venkateswara Cinemas and Northstar Entertainment. The film releases today.
